AQUA TERRA Culinary Brings New Zest To Point Pinos Grill In Pacific Grove
Just Announced: Dory Ford adds new culinary leadership at Point Pinos Grill.
- Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) June 15, 2011 - Point Pinos Grill is now operated by Dory Ford's Pebble Beach based firm, Aqua Terra Culinary. This cozy, landmark building, located at 79 Asilomar Boulevard in Pacific Grove, rewards diners with fresh, flavorful menus and spectacular seaside views. Under the leadership of General Manger, Diane Kleindienst, the Point Pinos Grill team is on point to delight diners with "simply fresh" meals crafted from local, seasonal ingredients that reflect ethnic influences from Chef Ford's travels. Even the pickiest palettes will find something to love here.
For breakfast, a refreshing take on Huevos Rancheros starts with a crisp homemade tostada base and includes refritos negros, diced ham, English peas, cheddar cheese, avocado, ranchero sauce and fried plantains. The Point Pinos Grill House Made Granola is crafted from steel cut oats, Dick Inzana's almonds and walnuts, flax seed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, coconuts and raisins in a combination that's so good you will want to take a bag home with you.
The breakfast menu also features classic favorites like Eggs Benedict, Omelets Your Way, Scratch Made Buttermilk Pancakes, New York Steak and Eggs, French Toast and Breakfast Burritos.
For lunch the culinary team offers a wide variety of menu items including Chef Ford's renowned Crisp Fried Calamari with Meyer lemon slices and shaved fennel and a Roasted Heirloom Tomato Tart with Truffle Tremor Cheese, Marinated Olives, and Cherry Balsamic. Another favorite is the Point Pinos Grill signature 8 oz Natural Beef Burger and Kennebec potato chips which bears a striking resemblance to the Portola Burger Chef Ford had on his menu while at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Additional lunch menu items currently include a Belizean Stewed Chicken Salbutes, Three Cheese- San Francisco Sourdough Grilled Cheese, Albacore Tuna Melt, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and Classic Cobb Salad. Don't miss daily specials prepared from a wide variety of organic, farm fresh produce.
Ford is in the middle of minor renovations at the moment. In the works are a family-style communal table which will be added to dining room as well as comfy couches and chairs for the lounge. Teak benches and fire pits on the outdoor patio will allow guests to enjoy the incredible view of the ocean. Chef Ford is in the final waiting period for a license to offer wines by the glass and craft beers service. Also coming soon: a late afternoon menu beginning in July.
Point Pinos Grill will be participating in Animal Friends Rescue Project's 2nd Annual Dining Out for the Animals on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. When you stop by Point Pinos Grill for breakfast or lunch on that date, the restaurants will donate 10% of that day's proceeds to help the animals.
