April 16 Workshop Explores End-of-Life Decisions
An April 16th half-day workshop will help participants of all ages explore the important decisions they should make about end-of-life health care - from treatment options available under specific circumstances to what family and doctors need to know.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) April 12, 2011 - Choices to Make Before it's too Late will be offered on Saturday, April 16, 2011, from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Carolina Meadows, 100 Whippoorwill Lane, in Chapel Hill. "These end-of-life health care decisions are not always ones we want to think about, but a plan that honors your values is an important document to share with your children and loved ones today," says Ursula Capewell, one of the organizers of the event sponsored by the Funeral Consumers Alliance of the Triangle (FCAT) and Compassion & Choices of North Carolina.
The workshop is being held on National Healthcare Decision Day, a collaborative effort of national, state and community organizations committed to ensuring that all adults with decision-making capacity in the United States have the information and opportunity to communicate and document their healthcare decisions.
