  • (1888PressRelease) October 27, 2014 - Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, will be closing the application period for both its military service member and dependents scholarship and its high school senior scholarship on Friday, October 31.These scholarships will each award $2,000 to the winner to be used toward higher education at the institution of their choice.

    The scholarships with October 31, 2014 deadlines offer education assistance for two distinct audiences. Members of the military community-service members, veterans, spouses, and other dependents-and high school seniors graduating in 2015 are invited to apply for the respective awards.

    To apply, students must submit an 800- to 1,000-word essay on how they plan to use their education to benefit their family and community. Applications can be submitted at CareerStep.com/scholarships.

    Winners will receive $2,000 toward education at the institution of their choice. The scholarship can be used for degree or vocational programs, and the money will be delivered directly to the institution of the winner's choice.
