Eltima Software announces the major update of Application as Service, the most powerful tool, which allows you to run any applications and programs as Windows services and manage them locally and remotely.
- (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2011 - Bellevue, WA, USA: Eltima Software informs about the release of Application as Service 4, utility which allows running any programs as Windows services, launching and managing them locally or remotely, scheduling them and benefitting from all advantages Windows services offer.
The process of remote launch of applications as services was also improved - now Application as Service installation is not required on remote PC to run any application on it as Windows service.
The process of managing interactive services was greatly improved. It is now possible to choose user session in which interactive service should be started (including RDP sessions) for Windows XP, 2000, 2003, Vista, 7 and Server 2008. Interactive services can be created under user accounts and the whole process of launching interactive services is much simplified.
There are also numerous additional improvements such as possibility to start the service after the network is fully initialized; possibility to overwrite the output file every time the service is started; information on kernel drivers can be viewed in Services list. Also improved is service termination (Graceful shutdown option).
