Apple Releases MilPay Weeks Ahead Of Schedule
MilitaryLounge Developers Surprised and Relieved By Outstanding Reviews.
- (1888PressRelease) November 07, 2011 - The surprise release of MilPay has developers baffled, beta testers have been giving great reviews so MilitaryLounge is pleased the unplanned release has gone smoothly.
(Portland, OR Nov.5, 2011) MilPay, the app worlds' premier military pay calculator has been upgraded to added features in popular demand by users. "We finished the updates for medical and dental pay calculations", says David Burgess of Military Lounge. MilPay is the premier app for calculating military pay. Mil pay has been featured in Military Times as a 'need to have' App and also a Rated Top 25 Finance App in other sites. The release of the upgrades wasn't expected until mid November but Apple seemed to have completed the process in record time with the update being release shortly after it's submission.
This is great news as soldiers around the world will soon be in mass movement and every time they move their pay could change. Milpay assists US Military and Dept of Defense workers in avoiding searching through military pay charts, determining their pay scales including BAH rates and countless incentive payments.
It's also possible many promotions are in line and MilPay will not only calculate hourly, monthly and annual pay - you can even take a look at next year's pay raise! See what the next promotion is worth. MilPay does all the calculations. It will break down a soldiers pay into individual components: 1) basic pay 2) housing allowances and 3) special pay.
Beta testers have been using the update and good reviews are coming in so the company is relieved that all is going smoothly. The upgrade now includes features for calculating:
- Variable Special Medical
- Variable Special Pay Dental
- Board Certified
- Incentive Special Pays (Medical)
- Multi-year Retention Bonus (Dental)
The military housing allowance (BAH) is calculated apart from the annual military pay law. Many soldiers will be pleased to learn that even though this year, BAH rates have actually gone down, because average U.S. rental costs have gone down. There is a "protection clause" in effect: If a member's BAH decreases, the member will continue to receive the old rate until he/she makes a PCS move to a different location -- so, military members will not see a decrease in their BAH rates.
Military personnel and Dept of Defense workers can get the app from the iTunes App Store. The upgrade brings added features that increase the ease and speed military pay can be calculated.
