Apex Town Council Approves Incentive Guidelines for Businesses
The Apex Chamber of Commerce and its Governmental Affairs Committee spearhead changes to the incentive guidelines for economic development in Apex.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) November 30, 2012 - The Apex Town Council has unanimously approved new guidelines regarding incentive grants for economic development in Apex. These guidelines will be used by Wake County Economic Development and other agencies and will be shared with businesses that are interested in either relocating or expanding in Wake County. Under the new guidelines, the town will consider each opportunity on its individual merits and any incentives will be at the sole discretion of the Apex Town Council.
The purpose of the guidelines is to expand economic development opportunities for the Town of Apex that will diversify or expand the tax base, offer improved employment opportunities for its citizens and promote the economic growth and welfare of the local business and industrial community. The guidelines were drafted with input from the Apex Chamber of Commerce and were endorsed by the Chamber's Board of Directors.
