Apeejay School of Management organized the Fourth National Conference on Contemporary Management Research. Organized today, the discussion at the Conference revolved around the theme of "Sustainable Management Practices".
- (1888PressRelease) May 15, 2011 - Continuing its endeavour to establish a truly international level Centre of Excellence in Management and Information Technology, Apeejay School of Management organized the Fourth National Conference on Contemporary Management Research. Organized today, the discussion at the Conference revolved around the theme of "Sustainable Management Practices".
The event started with the welcome address of the Director of the Apeejay School of Management, Prof. Alok Saklani and perspectives address of Prof. Ashok Ogra, Director of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication.
Mr Anil Razdan, Noted Energy Expert and Former Secretary, Power, GOI inaugurated the conference and said, "The Conference covered all aspects of Management including Green Marketing, Branding in Rural India, HRM practices, development & training, Labor flexibility, Trade & Environment, Marketing, General Management & Interdisciplinary issues, Finance, accounting, Internet marketing, among several others. Contemporary Management Research stood out as a topic of extreme importance for the management students, aspiring to make a mark in the field." Panel of distinguished speakers include Prof Rajeev Sawhney (Western Illinois University), Ms Annapurna Vancheswaran (TERI), Prof Appa Rao Korukonda (Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania), Prof Mukesh Chaturvedi (BIMTECH), Prof D P Goyal (MDI), Prof Mamta Mohapatra (IMI, New Delhi), Prof. Sanjay Jain (Delhi School of Economics), Prof DPS Verma (Delhi University), Prof C P Gupta (Delhi University), etc.
Besides, over sixty scholars from reputed B-schools in the country presented their research papers in various technical sessions on Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Trade and Environment and General Management and Interdisciplinary Issues. The conference aimed at igniting a public discourse on viability and desirability of Sustainable Management Practices. The Conference captured the emerging trends in management practices and their subtle expositions in current researches in general and sustainable management practices in particular.
