Apeejay organizes Annual Lecture on 'Emerging Trends in Public Relations'
Apeejay School of Management & Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication jointly organized their Annual Lecture on "Emerging trends in the field of Public Relations" today at Apeejay Campus, Dwarka, New Delhi. This was an effort to equip the students with the latest tactics of Integrated Marketing Communications with an emphasis on Digital Media.

Prof Ashok Ogra, Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication and Dr. Alok Saklani, Director, Apeejay School of Management were also present on the occasion.
Starting with the fundamentals of Business Communication 'what to say, How to say and Where to say' Nikhil Dey, gradually covered the topics like the importance of brand positioning to achieve the overall organizational objective and the concept of 'Message House' for strategic thought process.
Along with covering all the aspects of branding and Public Relations, the main topic on which the entire session revolved around most of the time was Digital Media. "With the target audience gradually shifting towards the digital media, to tap digital media is the need of the hour for all Public Relations practitioners" said Nikhil Dey. He also discussed on some of the facets of digital marketing like Search Engine Optimization, Social Networking, Online Portals and Online News Papers.
"This new trend has made the companies and PR firms to realize that now the strategy of targeting their consumers will have to change and a completely new innovative approach of exploiting the social media will have to be brought in" added Nikhil Dey. He also suggested the emerging professionals to spend enormous amount of time on their target and goal.
At last, the session ended up with the intellectual inputs from Prof Ashok Ogra and Dr. Alok Saklani on the same topic. The students were with high spirit during the session as it provided them an opportunity to directly interact with their favourite industry leader.
