Apeejay Dwarka Campus organizes its annual cultural Fest SYNERGY 2011
Apeejay School of Management and Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication jointly organized Annual inter-college Management and Cultural festival 'Synergy 2011' on 17 & 18 November at its Dwarka Campus.
- (1888PressRelease) November 25, 2011 - New Delhi - The fest was an everlasting endeavor to inculcate world-class competencies, providing a platform to students from different colleges for exploring and showcasing their budding and hidden talents. The program commenced with lamp lighting ceremony by Dr. Alok Saklani, Director, Apeejay School of Management with Prof. Ashok Ogra, Director of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dr. Deepankar Chakrabarti, Dean and Dr. Etinder Pal Singh, Convener of the event.
The key attractions of the opening day of the fest were sports like Tug of war, Shot Put, Sack Race, three legged race; Laughter Challenge; Photography; Dumb Charades; Solo Dance; Solo Singing; Duet Dance; Street Play; Treasure Hunt; Collage Making; Poster Making and Rangoli. The main highlights on the second day of the event included Ad-mad Show, Mock Press Conference, RJ/VJ Hunt, Fashion Show, Mr. & Ms. Synergy Contest, Story Telling, Pot Painting, Bulls and Bears, Group Dance and Lan Gaming. Mr. Prashant Singh Pathania from Apeejay School of Management and Ms. Rituparna from Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dwarka bagged the titles of Mr. & Ms. Synergy 2011-12 respectively.
This cultural extravaganza portrayed a cultural blend as students from various institutes including NDIM, IMS Noida, Era Business School, Takeone school of Mass communication, Bhagat Singh College, JSIT, BCIPS, and NSIT showcased their talents along with the Apeejay students.
The highly charged and fun-filled festival provided a platform for the students to express their opinions, interact with other young minds and exchange ideas through a series of thought provoking and stimulating activities.
The chief guest for Synergy 2011 was Mr. Deepak Vohra, IFS (Retd.), and an eminent TV personality, distributed prizes to the winners. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Vohra motivated the young spirits and stressed on the three hot issues - getting rid of corruption, right to information and transparency in governance and job opportunities for the future generation.
The event was sponsored by reputed national and global brands such as Khushi Properties and Developers, Pepsi, Spraymint Mouth Freshner, Radisson Blu, State Bank of India, V.D. Honda, Dev Tattoos, Osia Italia, 5D Adventure, Shree Raj Mahal, Braingainmag!, Radius, Urban Fashion, etc.
Like every year students worked enthusiastically for the fest and thereby learned the art of time management, planning and teamwork. This also stimulated confidence and leadership skills among students. The event was well supported and represented by both academic and industry.
Earlier, as a part of the cultural fest, the institute organized a Mini-Marathon on the theme 'Stay Strong, Live Long' on November 13, 2011 in which hundreds of students and also residents of Dwarka participated.
