Aparecio Foundation Going to Space
The Aparecio Foundation is excited to bring together Chicago's young professionals to explore space at their upcoming event, "Space Camp: Journey to the Moon". All proceeds will benefit the foundation's S.T.E.M initiative.
- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) August 13, 2015 - Aparecio Foundation to Explore Space. The Aparecio Foundation is inviting Chicago to explore space in "Space Camp: Journey to the Moon" at Lagunitas Brewery on August 24, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The event features themed food, appetizers, live music from local bands, and a silent auction featuring items from Hasana. All proceeds go to the foundation's 2016 science, technology, engineering, and math (S.T.E.M.) initiative.
The 2016 S.T.E.M. initiative focuses on mechanical and electrical engineering, industrial design, and 3D printing. The topics will be presented with hands on and online problem solving activities. At the end of the initiative, the girls will have created a fashion smart bangle.
Attendees can purchase tickets before August 8 to receive an early bird cost of $75 for general admission and $100 for V.I.P. From August 9 to 24, tickets can be purchased at $90 for general admission and $115 for V.I.P.

The Apareció Foundation was established in 2009 as an economic development strategy to lift women out of poverty and as a community development approach to build the leadership capacity of low-income women. They operate alongside Hasana Inc. and Felix Magazine in the movement to influence, inspire and ultimately change the lives of young women in education. All ticket proceeds will directly benefit the Foundation's mission to fund girls' education.
