Antonello Intros "Anti-carcinogen" Menu In October Benefiting Breast Cancer Nonprofit
25% Of Proceeds From Sales Of 3-Course Pre-Fixe To Benefit THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) September 15, 2015 - In conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, chef/restaurateur Antonio Cagnolo has announced a special 3-course prix-fixe menu featuring anti-carcinogenic ingredients that will be served at each of his three South Coast Plaza restaurants, Antonello Ristorante, Nello Cucina & Quattro Caffe, throughout October. Each item on the menu will contain fibers, fruits and vegetables that are reported to reduce the risk of some forms of cancer. The $35 prix-fixe will begin with a roasted yellow and red beet salad of candied walnuts & baby kale in a raspberry vinaigrette, followed by a choice of grilled steelhead salmon topped with pomegranate, olive oil & reduced fig balsamic vinegar and served with sautéed Brussel sprouts or homemade pumpkin ravioli in a brown butter and sage sauce with Parmigiano reggiano. Rounding out the meal is a cream cheese and assorted seasonal berry tart. 25% of the proceeds from the anti-carcinogen menu with benefit THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser, an OC nonprofit.
In addition, guests who "check in" on Facebook to all 3 restaurants during the month of October will be entered into a drawing to win a reservation for 4 at the next cooking class hosted by Antonio and his wife Fiorella, valued at $250.
"This is our third year teaming with THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year we wanted to create an anti-carcinogen menu as this is an important dietary concern for many breast cancer patients," said Cagnolo. THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser's mission is to preserve the dignity of breast cancer patients and their loved ones by supporting their unmet needs through funding value added services. These services typically are not covered by insurance, and include massage therapy, acupuncture, fitness classes, and beauty consulting.
