(1888PressRelease) August 19, 2010 - Austin, TX - Earth Alarm records and 101 Distribution will release Anton Cosmo's first solo album called "The In Between" October 19th with an in-store signing at FYE New York (time TBA). The physical copy CD will be available in wide distribution at Best Buy, FYE and Amazon, as well as available digitally wherever records are sold including www.101distribution.com, itunes, www.FYE.com, www.Best Buy.com, www.amazon.com, and www.rhapsody.com.
"'The In Between' introduces Anton as a fresh contender on the music scene. He wrote, recorded and produced the record in its entirety," said manager Tammy Miranda. "He has outrageous guitar skills. His sultry voice and good looks infuses new life into contemporary modern rock...and Anton's rock and roll pedigree is impeccable, he first appeared on the scene with the legendary band Boston," she added.
The "In between" is a 15 song compilation of modern rock tunes released by Earth Alarm Records along with 101 Distribution. The only resemblance to Anton's privileged musical beginnings as a guitarist for Boston (his father Fran Cosmo is a former lead singer of the band), is the fact that this music is also arena rock...with a sound big enough to drive and give pleasure to a crowd of thousands of people. Influences such as U2 and Incubus can be detected in Anton's music, as well as echoes of rock icons such as Peter Gabriel.
Anton made his live debut with Boston at the Fiesta Bowl in 2002 and followed with a back to back tour in 2003 and 2004 headlining as one of Boston's guitarists. His writing credits include three songs placed on Boston's latest album"Corporate America" (Artemis Records) that reached number 46 on Billboard's top 100. Anton's song "Turn It Off" was featured in a national campaign that kicked off Launch.com (Yahoo!) in 2003.
In 2006 Anton wrote and produced the debut album "Alien" for the band Cosmo on Frontiers Records, which featured his father on vocals. It was hailed as one of the best melodic rock records of 2006.
"the real surprise here is Anton Cosmo that steps into my universe like a new guitar hero and stands right next to six string majesties such as Dave Navarro, Ronni Le Tekro, Nuno Bettencourt and Reb Beach! One of my favorite albums of 2006! " | MelodicRock.net
