Anthony Giorgio, MD, FACP joins teams of specialists at The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) November 26, 2015 - Dr. Anthony Giorgio will join the team of board-certified oncologists and hematologists on October 1st at The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation's new San Pedro office. Dr. Giorgio received his medical degree from Boston University. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship at the University of Utah Medical Center. Dr. Giorgio's prior academic appointments included serving as a professor at the University of Utah Medical School and at Charles R. Drew Medical School as well as assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh and at the University of Southern California. Dr. Giorgio served in the United States Navy Reserves as Active Duty in the Medical Corp, Lieutenant Assignments - Aviation Medicine and Active Reserve in the Medical Corp, Lieutenant Commander Assignments - Medical Officer.
Dr. Giorgio has extensive knowledge and experience in oncology and hematology. He has held various leadership roles in the South Bay area including chairman at South Bay Hospital, Little Company of Mary Hospital, and San Pedro Peninsula Hospital.
Before joining The Oncology Institute, Dr. Giorgio practiced for over 30 years in Redondo Beach and San Pedro.

He strives to build a relationship with each patient and their family to provide them with individualized treatment and realistic expectations. Dr. Giorgio helps his patients focus on maximizing their quality of life with education and empowerment.
