- (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2010 - About Sun Tzu, (Chinese: 孫子)
Sun Wu (simplified Chinese: 孙武; traditional Chinese: 孫武; pinyin: Sūn Wǔ), style name Changqing (長卿), better known as Sun Tzu[1] (simplified Chinese: 孙子;; pinyin: Sūn Zǐ; pronounced [swə́n tsɨ̀]), was an ancient Chinese military general and strategist and philosopher who is traditionally believed to have authored The Art of War, an influential ancient Chinese book on military strategy considered to be a prime example of Taoist thinking. Sun Tzu has had a significant impact on Chinese and Asian history and culture, both as an author of The Art of War and through legend. During the 19th and 20th centuries,
Sun Tzu suggested the importance of positioning in strategy and that position is affected both by objective conditions in the physical environment and the subjective opinions of competitive actors in that environment. He thought that strategy was not planning in the sense of working through an established list, but rather that it requires quick and appropriate responses to changing conditions. Planning works in a controlled environment, but in a changing environment, competing plans collide, creating unexpected situations.
One of Sun Tzu most famous Quotes on Strategy:
Sun Tzu's The Art of War grew in popularity and saw practical use in Western society, and his work has continued to influence both Asian and Western culture and politics.
"Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate".
Sun Tzu Art of War (Chinese: 孫子兵法)
The Art of War is a Chinese military treatise that was written by Sun Tzu in the 6th century BC, during the spring and autumn period. Written more than 2500 years ago, Sun Tzu Art of War consists of a mere 5000 Chinese characters. Composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare, it is said to be the definitive work on military strategies and tactics of its time, and still one of the basic texts. The Art of War is one of the oldest and most successful books on military strategy. It has had an influence on Eastern military thinking, business tactics, and beyond.
Since then, the Art of War became a classic for strategists throughout Chinese histories and therefore, it is deep rooted in Chinese thinking and culture. The Art of War has by now transcended military applications. The thinking in Art of War is applied in very, many different human endeavours: economics, business, politics, diplomacy, sports or wherever there is competition.

Online Self Reflection programs
Strategy is a Life Skill. Contrary to what many believe, strategy is not exclusively used by leaders of big organizations, but rather a necessity for everyone. Strategy is the mode to achieving the goal, which is analogical to being a map for reaching the destination. We apply strategy extensively in our daily life without realizing it.
Program Approach
The first step to developing a strategic mind is to build the foundation - understanding the principles or philosophies in strategic thinking. Sun Tzu Art of War is one of the longest surviving and also perhaps the most well-known work in strategy. The principles are embedded in all modern works on strategy.
"Discover for yourself the Art of War principles and how they work universally; realize how your mind unconsciously applies strategy together with its relevance in today's context and how to apply them effectively.
The Complete Art of War Series" is perhaps the most intensive and in-depth Art of War program. To be a strategist, one has to be acclimatized to strategic thinking, which is our aim: "Developing a strategic mind".
