Animal House Project and The Spayed Club Partner to Provide Low-Cost Spay and Neutering Services
Animal House Project and The Spayed Club are pleased to announce a partnership that will bring low-cost spay and neutering services for cats and dogs to the areas serviced by Animal House Project's community.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) February 23, 2015 - The partnership was born out of both non-profit organizations' mission to curb pet overpopulation as well as a continued desire to fill a need for the Clients of Animal House Project's Pet Food Pantry and beyond.
The Spayed Club, during the first week of every month, will pick up and transport cats and dogs from the Animal House Project's location in Pottstown to its facility in Sharon Hill to perform spay and neutering services at their clinic. Then, they will then return the cats and dogs to the Animal House Project's location where the pet's owners will be waiting to be reunited with their beloved pet.
"Since arriving in western Montgomery County, our desire has always been to provide more services to the communities that we serve," stated MaryBeth Yannessa, President and CEO of the Animal House Project. "The partnership with The Spayed Club has been a huge part of the Chester County Pet Food Pantry a division of Animal House Project since 2011 and we are excited to continue servicing Chester County but also to open it up to western Montgomery and eastern Berks County families as well. We are very excited about this partnership!"
The first Wednesday and Thursday of every month is our pick-up days out of the Pottstown location. All spay and neutering services also includes vaccinations for rabies and distemper. "Every year, approximately four million homeless pets are euthanized in the United States, including more than 35,000 cats and dogs in the greater Philadelphia area, "stated Donna Dybus, Clinic Manager of The Spayed Club. "Partnering with Animal House Project just made sense for us and we look forward to working with them and the pet loving communities that they serve to make this venture a success for both organizations."
