Andean Experience Announces Lima's First Boutique Hotel - Hotel B

(1888PressRelease) December 20, 2012 - LIMA, PERU - An abandoned historic mansion, originally built in 1914, surrounded by diplomatic residences and artists' studios in the bohemian seaside neighborhood of Barranco has been purchased by The Andean Experience Company, a Peruvian tour operator and hotel developer. The Andean Experience Company is restoring the mansion as Lima's first luxury arts boutique hotel, to open in early 2013.

Hotel B (El Hotel de Barranco) will feature only 17 suites, a private spa and a signature restaurant by Oscar Velarde, one of Peru's best known restaurateurs. The hotel will be connected by private passageway to one of Barranco's most important art galleries, Lucia de la Punte, where exclusive viewings and special dinners can be arranged for hotel guests after hours.

Opening in March 2013, Hotel B will cater to a new breed of travelers who want to immerse themselves in Lima's thriving history, art and culinary scenes. The restoration work will reflect Peruvian heritage and colonial architecture with vintage and designer furniture inspired by the mansion's glamour days of the roaring 20's with a modern twist.

A team of Peru's best architects, interior designers and art merchants are working alongside sculptors from the Fine Arts Academy of Lima and an Italian master woodcrafter to breathe new life back into this Belle Epoque mansion. The project is considered a trademark of restoration by the INC (Peru's Historic Building Society).
