An Indian IT Education Company Organizes a Unique Embedded Systems Conference for Student-Industry Interaction At Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Pune,India
The Embedded Systems Conference held at Pune,India was organized by Oasis Education exclusively for Students and Industry which was attended by 100 students from 50 engineering colleges under Pune University,India. The students interacted with Eminent speakers from the Embedded industry and were delighted to understand the various career opportunities in Embedded domain.
- (1888PressRelease) October 05, 2011 - Oasis Education, A Division of Oasis Technologies Pvt Ltd recently arranged a one day conference on the application of Embedded Systems at Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Pune,India, which was attended by eminent speakers from the Indian IT industry and more than 100 electronics engineering students representing 50 engineering colleges under Pune University. This industry academic conference known as Embedopedia was focused on providing career guidance to the participating students in various domains in Embedded Systems including Consumer electronics, Telecom, Healthcare, Automotive, Automation and relevant industries.
This free of cost event included eminent speakers from KPIT Cummins, Symphony Services, Minda Industries, Individual Entrepreneur and the Subject Chairman, Embedded Systems from Pune University.
The participating students were delighted to interact with these speakers who otherwise couldn't make themselves available for such interactions due to their busy schedules. The event highlighted the various career opportunities that a student can have in the embedded systems domain. During various sessions, they interacted with the speakers and were eager to know the future of embedded systems.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. C.B. Joshi, Subject Chairman Embedded Systems, Pune University commented that there should be more such frequent interaction between students and the industry through a platform similar to Embedopedia. He appealed to the industry to do more than what is been presently done in addition to recruitment and providing technology infrastructure. He said the industry should come forward and spend their valuable time with their future leaders and guide them make right career decisions at the right time.
Mr. Kalpak Dabir, Entreprenuer in Embedded Systems said " the industry is equally responsible for higher percentage of students being unemployable." He was of the opinion that instead of blaming the academic sector entirely, the industry should come forward and accept these students without much expectation.
Mr. Uday Wasule, DGM R&D Minda Industries said "we are our own customers and we should think about ourselves before we design systems for others." He commented that in future, lot of parts that goes in an automobile will be based on embedded technology and more engineering graduates are required to build the same.
Mr. Abhay Barhanpurkar, Solutions Architect, Symphony services was very optimistic about the penetration of Embedded Systems in Healthcare industry and said that 774 million devices will be connected to each other by 2020 and will provide a future platform for healthcare.
Mr. Mahesh Ghivari from KPIT Systems insisted on strengthening the fundamentals before any new technology is learnt. He said that any product development is a multidisciplinary activity which involves all aspects of Engineering.
Mr. Rahul Khaladkar, CEO, Oasis Education said " this event is a corporate social responsibility initiative by Oasis Education and more such platforms will be created for knowledge sharing if genuine interest is visible from the industry and academic sector."
