TNVR stands for Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return, a proven method to humanely manage and end the overpopulation of community cats. Pinellas County has an overabundance of these stray, feral, and free-roaming community cats. Thanks to MEOW Now's TNVR program, community cats are trapped, sterilized, vaccinated and then returned to their communities to continue their lives without reproducing. This helps community caregivers maintain a manageable number of healthy cats, reduces nuisance behaviors and protects public health.
MEOW Now's goal is to TNVR 1,500 cats in Pinellas County this year, topping their total of more than 1,000 in 2015, MEOW Now's first year of operations. Proceeds from An Evening in the Islands will help MEOW Now meet its goals. Besides all the food and fun, attendees get to meet members of the organization and learn more about their program.
Sponsors, donors and volunteers are all greatly needed to continue Managing and Ending Overpopulation Wisely: MEOW with us on April 8th and join the party!
MEOW Now is humanely reducing the free-roaming cat population in Pinellas County by providing targeted TNVR, caregiver support and advocacy.
