- (1888PressRelease) July 29, 2011 - There's something electric about watching someone sing and you absorbing whatever emotions which accompany it, whether it's delicious misery or overwhelming glee. And when performed by an equally passionate singer over an acoustic guitar, the music just keeps getting better and better. Such is the gift of Chris Ahlman.
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, singer-songwriter Chris Ahlman is an acoustic guitar virtuoso who attended the University of California Berkeley where he received a degree in History in 2004. Even while in school, he found time to balance studies and his passion for music, playing weekly shows at The Bear's Lair (the on-campus bar), performing at local open mikes, and hitting the studio to record his music which resulted in his first album 'Mighty Road'. This year, Chris has a follow-up record titled 'Saving the Music', with 14 original songs that are strong, unforgettable and even catchy.
Chris Ahlman cites music artists John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and David Gray with bands Lifehouse, Augustana, and Counting Crows as his influences. This is especially evident in the music Chris creates. His songs are stories of love, life, and reality. He is unafraid of showing emotions when he performs his original compositions. Fortunately, pop folk rock has another amazing talent in their roster.
