(A4AC) in association with School of Rock Charlotte (www.schoolofrock.com) will hold a mini-concert for the patients, staff and special invited guests at Levine Children's Hospital on March 23, 2011. This is part of A4AC's "Music That Heals" quarterly concert series launched in December 2010. This quarter's performance will highlight the tremendous talents of School of Rock Charlotte's students, all between the ages of 11 and 18. By volunteering their time, these students show how people of all ages are banding together to raise awareness of Amped 4-A-Cure's mission-to support cancer research through the universal language of music.

Levine Children's Hospital is the first site for A4AC's Music That Heals Concert series and "Music Therapy" initiative. "Music Therapy" provides healthcare facilities with music players pre-loaded with popular music in a variety of genres that can be "checked-out" by patients to enjoy while undergoing their chemotherapy treatment or in the instance they need a musical escape. Although A4AC's primary mission is to support cancer research through music, the organization's purpose extends beyond simply raising funds for the research; it is also about providing solace and comfort with music, the universal language that links all humanity.

Amped 4-A-Cure, Inc., School of Rock Charlotte and Levine Children's Hospital are anticipating a highly entertaining performance, with the ultimate goal being to heal, soothe and inspire. The entire performance will be streamed live via closed-circuit TV so that any children unable to leave their rooms will still enjoy the show. This is the second in a series of Music That Heals concerts to be held quarterly at Levine Children's Hospital, with the next one scheduled for June 2011.
