- (1888PressRelease) December 10, 2015 - Los Angeles - 'Love Language' by Wouter Kellerman scores 'Best Contemporary Instrumental Album' nomination in the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.
Award-winning flutist and composer Wouter Kellerman has been nominated for the prestigious 58th GRAMMY® AWARDS for his album 'LOVE LANGUAGE' (http://www.lovelanguagemusic.com) in the BEST CONTEMPORARY INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM category. It was announced today by The Recording Academy. This is Kellerman's second nomination - he was nominated last year as well, and went on to win his first Grammy® earlier this year.
It has been a great year for Kellerman, as he performed sold out shows across the world, including at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC.
The boundary-breaking Contemporary Instrumental album 'LOVE LANGUAGE' is Kellerman's fourth release. Drawing influence from Senegal and Spain, Cuba and India, Greece and the United States, Love Language encapsulates the myriad ways we connect on the topics of life and love - and the countless languages with which we speak of the universal connection that binds us to one another.
"The theme of being loving joins us all together," says Kellerman, "and music bridges all cultural gaps, becoming a universal language that communicates across seemingly insurmountable barriers. Some people show love by giving presents or by complimenting someone, spending time or by touch", he continues. "My love language is music," he says with a smile.
On being nominated, Wouter Kellerman said: "I am simply overwhelmed by this nomination! It is extremely heartening to know that all our hard work is being recognized. This album has truly transcended borders and cultural barriers and I hope the positive energy created will help effect positive change in the world. I feel very privileged to be in such good company and wish my fellow nominees all the very best".
Wouter Kellerman will grace the red carpet at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday February 15th, 2016 for the evening billed as Music's Biggest Night®. The broadcast will commence on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
