Amish Door Village to host Southern Gospel group The Perrys

The Perrys are known for their moving lyrics, traditional songs, talented vocalists and genuine performance for the audience. 2011 not only marks their forty second year of performing, but also brings the debut of their highly anticipated new release, Blue Skies. This highly anticipated release promises to be yet another chapter in the group's rich history of producing music that speaks to hearts and changes lives.
"Our performance appeals to long-time fans and the next generation," says Libbi Perry Stuffle, who sings alto and began with the group at its inception in 1970. "Meeting fans before and after the shows is truly a blessing, and the highlight of touring."
After 41 years of performing, they have been honored with many awards by fans and peers alike. In 2005, Libbi won Favorite Female Vocalist, while 2009 brought lead singer Joseph Habedank the Young Artist of the Year award. Habedank also may be recognized as "The Singing Cop" from season 9 of American Idol.
Blue Skies follows the Dove Award nominated, Almost Morning, which garnered two #1 songs, including 2010 Southern Gospel Song of the Year, "If You Knew Him."
With countless other honors, awards, and radio success, it is evident that the Perrys have been blessed not only with musical abilities, but also the gift of communicating a message and touching lives.
