Amie Jo Greer Receives Prestigious Award
Las Vegas Host of The Amie Jo Show - Women in Entertainment and Media Award Recipient.
- (1888PressRelease) December 09, 2013 - Las Vegas, NV - The Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada celebrated "A Decade" of hosting the Annual Athena Leadership Awards® on December 6, 2013 at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. The Red Carpet event kicked off an exciting awards ceremony honoring distinguished women for their professional excellence, community service and leadership skills.
Amie Jo Greer received the Women in Entertainment and Media Award. She is best known as a Media Personality and the host of the "Amie Jo Show", (www.amiejo.org) a Las Vegas-based television show that "infotains", giving viewers "information they can use and entertainment they can enjoy". She has been referred to as the "Voice of Las Vegas" interviewing celebrities and inspiring people by sharing their secrets to success, health and happiness. Her upbeat, positive attitude and enthusiasm for life are infectious.
Television is just one aspect of Amie Jo's life; she also believes in sharing her success and giving back to the community. As the founder and president of the Corner4Success G.I.R.L.S. Club, a charitable, non-profit organization, she works tirelessly to build self-esteem in girls 9 to 14 years of age through the organization's 20-week life skills program.
Being inspired to help others, Amie Jo channeled her love of music into helping her charity. She became a recording artist, producing an inspirational/motivational/pop CD, "Inspired at Last." Since releasing her first CD, she has been performing in Las Vegas and touring the United States, opening for such acts as the World Famous Ink Spots and Ollie Woodson of the Temptations; sharing off-stage musical moments with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Clint Holmes, and many other great entertainers.
