AMG's Joshua Benjamin Set to Release New Song "Get Down" and Our Ears Can Hardly Wait

(1888PressRelease) November 08, 2016 - Canadian R&B soul crooner Joshua Benjamin announced a new song will be released in just two short weeks. Yes, that means this month, music lovers. "Get Down" he tweeted when asked what the new track would be called. "2 more weeks."

When a follower asked if we could get a preview of the new song a little early, he simply replied with the thinking emoji. Hey, at least it's not a complete no. With anticipation growing by the day for the fresh tunes, we've noticed more than a few clues about what his next album could sound like.

The exciting new collection of original R&B tunes highlights Joshua's talent as a profound R&B interpreter of classic soul music as his gifted songwriting and producing style expands.

Get Down was recorded in Toronto over the summer of 2016 and includes three new Benjamin penned originals along with breathtaking vocals. Guest artists on the album are Joel Joseph and top-flight mixer Kenny Moran. The new album is co-produced by Benjamin along with Ocean and Joseph.

"Rarely do artists have this much fun working on a project. It was especially thrilling to collaborate with my team who understand that I want to sound better than I've ever sounded. I'm also very proud of the new songs. Having the opportunity to co-produce with Ocean and Joel was a joy for me personally, along with Mark Berry always pushing for perfection" commented Benjamin.

Benjamin's debut album is currently in production for delivery early 2017 says AMG's Chairman Mark Berry. Joshua has a fresh flip on the '90s decade with self-produced old-school beats and soulful-reminiscent vocals. While trap and electro-pop styles flood music charts today, Benjamin opts against riding the wave for his forthcoming project. "Joshua is somebody who doesn't believe in conforming to maybe whatever is on the radio," says Berry. "He's still somebody that listens to a lot of James Brown, a lot of The O'Jays, a lot of soul...in that era, and he delivers with feeling along with outstanding musicianship."
