AMET University Received India Shipping Summit Award 2012
Indian shipping summit conducted its eight summit celebration on October 09, 2012. The event was conducted at the Trident Hotel, Nariman Point, Mumbai.
- (1888PressRelease) October 13, 2012 - The vibrant welcome reception was held on Monday which was attended by more than 150 industry key decision makers and stakeholders. The shipping summit event showed a strong marine industry presence. The main conference event began on Tuesday morning, the conference's main theme was to observe Indian maritime industry unique challenges and exploring the country's ambitions and achieving it realistically.
More than 280 top affluent high level international and Indian executives from the shipping industry attended the opening day and the conference. The shipping summit started outlining the global position of India's economy and had debate about the implication of slower rate of growth in India, feeding India's ever-growing hunger for energy.

The summit ambiance turned into celebration at the end of the first day's conference when the attendees were delighted with gala awards dinner. The event was hosted by Neelam Daswani who is a professional hostess who has presented more than 7000 event both nationally and internationally.
India Shipping Seatrade Summit presented Educaton and Training Award which was presented to AMET University which was received by Dr. J. Ramachandran. This award presented to Dr. J. Ramachandran for the outstanding commitment to training and contribution towards improving standards across the maritime industry in India.
The presentation ceremony concluded in the evening with a full entertainment show including A-list celebrity choreographer, Toby Fernandes and his dance troupe.
