American Reproductive Launches Corporate Egg Freezing Program
Fertility Practitioners Play Into National Trend Of Helping Employees Preserve Healthy Eggs.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) November 13, 2014 - Last week, Apple and Facebook made most unusual announcements - they will begin offering their female employees free egg freezing so they can put off starting families without fear that their eggs will not be as viable as they age. On the heels of that news, American Reproductive Centers in Costa Mesa and Palm Desert have launched a corporate egg-freezing program where companies offering that perk will enjoy reduced costs for egg retrieval and storage.
According to American Reproductive's Medical Director Maher Abdallah, M.D., who is double-board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Obstetrics/Gynecology, the new egg freezing program is aimed at more progressive companies that value their female employees' prerogative to postpone starting families, but are fearful that their chances of having a healthy child diminishes with age.
"We see so many career women who have put off having children only to realize that starting a family at 40 is a major challenge. Also, as women age, the odds of giving birth to a healthy baby grow smaller," said Abdallah, a recipient of the Most Compassionate Doctor Award, only presented to 3% of 720,000 physicians in the field. "We want to support companies willing to help their female employees start families by covering the costs of retrieval and storage of their viable eggs."
Unlike other fertility facilities, the team at American Reproductive Centers uses the latest laser technology to biopsy embryos during IVF procedures, while 95% of practitioners use a chemical that can potentially cause harm and lower success rates. The staff also have access to the latest embryonic tests that allow them to test all 24 chromosomes to detect genetic disorders instead of the more popular and dated tests that only allow 5. It's this technology that provides a success rate of 99% for producing babies without predisposition to Down's syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities. The centers have helped patients from all over the world in gender selection, egg freezing, ovulation induction, artificial insemination and surrogacy.
In addition to their state-of-the-art IVF facilities, American Reproductive Centers is heralded for its compassionate care by fellowship trained and board-certified reproductive endocrinologists; 760-346-4334 or 949-309-3330, www.americanreproductivecenters.com.
