American Hospital Dubai Appoints First Female Gastroenterologist to the Physician Team
The American Hospital Dubai welcomed the hospital's first female gastroenterologist Dr Regina Carla Will, who has joined the physician team as a gastroenterologist and specialist in nutritional medicine.
- (1888PressRelease) June 20, 2011 - The American Hospital Dubai has welcomed the hospital's first female gastroenterologist. Dr Regina Carla Will , a German national, has joined the physician team as a gastroenterologist and specialist in nutritional medicine. She is a board certified in Germany. Dr Will joins the American Hospital Dubai from the German clinic for diagnostics in Wiesbaden, where she was a Consultant in gastroenterology.
In her role as consultant in gastroenterology, Dr Will was responsible for treating patients in an outpatient setting, and patients admitted to wards. She focused on the diagnosis Infectious Bowl diseases, Crohn's disease, Colitis, and treatment of IBD (irritable bowel syndrome - a very common condition in the UAE) and also specialised in enteral nutrition, regularly performing ultrasound and endoscopic ultrasound scans, and gastroscopies including emergency procedures.
Having trained at the University of Hamburg, Germany, Dr Will practised extensively in the country. She is a member of the Medical board of Hesse; the German society of internal medicine; German Gastroenterologic Society: and the German Society of Nutritional Medicine. Dr. Will speaks German, Spanish and English.
