- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2014 - Thirteen years ago we were shaken by the attack on the Twin Towers by an extremist group from the Middle East. Where do America's efforts stand currently in regards to the Middle East? In Don Liebich's newly released book, Fault Lines, he examines the fault lines that have often plagued U.S. efforts to protect its national interests. He also discuses how these on-going relations have led to a precipitous decline in American influence.
Fault Lines: The Layman's Guide to Understanding America's Role in the Ever-Changing Middle East debuts September 11, 2014. Through a collection of blogs and more than twenty trips to the region, Liebich explains the history of American involvement in Middle Eastern affairs. He also clarifies why many American policies continue to cause angst between the U.S. and Middle Eastern countries.
"During my many trips to the Middle East, I discovered something curious: what I was seeing and learning in my travels generally did not correspond with what was being fed to me by U.S. media sources," said Leibich. Liebich shares first hand experience to help the layman better understand America's foreign affairs.
