AMEC’s Entec business reappointed to Northumbrian Water frameworks
AMEC's Entec business has been appointed to Northumbrian Water Limited's AMP5 Technical Services and Commercial Services frameworks, commencing in April 2011.
- (1888PressRelease) December 23, 2010 - Both frameworks will run for up to 10 years, following an initial four year term renewable by a further four and two years.
The Technical Services framework includes multidisciplinary engineering, contract supervision services and associated environmental support. The Commercial Services framework covers contract administration and cost management activities.
These frameworks will provide important services in support of Northumbrian Water's £1.37 billion five-year AMP5 investment programme, with the potential to extend into the subsequent AMP6 period.
These appointments will enable Entec to build on a long-standing relationship with Northumbrian Water stretching back 20 years, with typical fees in excess of £8 million per annum providing employment for more than 100 consultancy staff.
Commenting on the appointments, Entec Director Mike Roe said: “We are naturally delighted to secure our place on these key frameworks, as we enter a new period of our development within AMEC. They provide a vital foundation for the future success of our engineering function in particular, and are a welcome recognition of our good work in partnership with Northumbrian Water over many years. I'm looking forward to the continuation of that close relationship as these frameworks progress.”
Dr Colin Price, Northumbrian Water Limited's Technical Director, said: “Selecting a special group of companies to help us deliver our investment programme allows us to guarantee work and quality standards at competitive prices and means we can develop mutually beneficial relationships. It will be particularly welcome in these challenging economic times.”
