AM 1690 Brings Psycho Back to the Big Screen for the Flick's 50th Anniversary
Hitchcock's iconic "Psycho" returns to the big screen at the Plaza Theatre Thursday, October 28 at 7:00pm.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) October 27, 2010 - The screeching violins and nail-biting suspense are building in anticipation of the AM 1690 "The Voice of the Arts" screening of "Psycho" at the historic Plaza Theatre. The spooky season gets in full swing this Thursday, October 28 at 7:00pm, as AM 1690's monthly movie series returns with Hitchcock's legendary horror flick back on the big screen 50 years since its debut.
In addition to the classic black and white thriller, Edgar Oliver of internationally-heralded storytelling group The Moth stops by to entertain the Plaza crowd while in town for the Unchained Tour, a journey through Georgia that gets back to the roots of The Moth's gripping, often chilling, stay-with-you-for-weeks true tales.
Not scary enough yet? There are puppets, too - puppets acting out horror scenes as orchestrated by Raymond Carr of Ninja Puppet Productions.
With a deadly stay in Bates Motel, true spooky stories from the deep South, and dolls on strings yielding daggers, AM 1690's "Psycho" 50th anniversary screening event is guaranteed to give a healthy dose of goose bumps.
