Altia Releases New GUI Development Editor - Altia Design 11.3
Updates to Altia GUI Editor, Plus Speed and Performance Updates to DeepScreen Code Generator Make Industry-Standard Software Stronger than Ever.
- (1888PressRelease) December 16, 2015 - COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Altia Design 11.3, the centerpiece of Altia's user interface development tool suite, is now available. With this new release of Altia's GUI editor, companies in automotive, medical, industrial and consumer embedded GUI development gain the capability to create stunning graphics and slick animations with ease. Deploying GUIs for production devices with Altia is also even more advanced thanks to Altia DeepScreen enhancements, new targets and improvements to existing targets.
Altia offers a GUI editor and graphics code generator that enable development teams to build completely custom user interface models with graphics created from scratch or imported from industry-standard design programs like Adobe Photoshop. The Altia GUI can be connected to a variety of simulation tools or C code to create a complex, user-driven model which can be shared with users and management teams for testing and validation prior to production. Once your design is finalized, Altia's code generator automatically generates pure C source code that is optimized to take full advantage of the resources of the selected production hardware.
New to the Altia GUI Editor, Altia Design 11.3, is the Mask Object. With the Mask Object, users can define transparent regions on objects in Altia to create stunning special effects and animations easily and efficiently. Advanced fade effects, dynamic glow effects, complicated screen transition effects and dynamic text effects are just a few ways that Altia users can achieve striking graphics for their embedded displays. See the Mask Object in action here.
The 3D Scene Object has been improved significantly for Altia Design 11.3. With this release, use of the Altia object has been simplified and usability has been improved - saving time during development. Updates include improved iconography in the 3D content navigator, a brand new editor for adjusting light intensity, new animation list and streamlined 3D view and new capability to easily reassign numeric identifiers for any 3D content. With these upgrades, creating real 3D content with Altia has become really straightforward and really powerful.
Altia has implemented a new companion tool - the Demo Launcher - into version 11.3. The Demo Launcher opens pre-configured Altia demo executables and source .dsn files built to serve a variety of GUI applications including automotive, medical, home appliance, home automation, smart vending and more. This new tool gives Altia users an easy way to access to models as part of installation to see how the coolest GUI designs are built.
Speed, memory and performance improvements have been built into Altia DeepScreen for GUI code generation. Altia has been hard at work on hardware as well - getting code running on Cypress Traveo S6J3200 (Spansion Amber), Freescale i.MX28, STMicroelectronics STM32F7, Renesas R-Car and Renesas D1x. Existing hardware targets from Altera, Android, Freescale, Panasonic, Renesas, STMicroelectronics and Yamaha have also been upgraded. See our targets page for a representative list of available Altia DeepScreen targets.
