Altia Releases Altia Design 10.1 with New DeepScreen Targets and More
New Altia Release Includes Expanded Target Support and Bug Fixes.
- (1888PressRelease) December 01, 2011 - COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- Altia, Inc., the award-winning provider of user interface engineering tools for embedded systems, announces the latest release of Altia Design. Altia Design 10.1 brings enhancements and several new hardware platform options to our tool suite.
"Altia is proud to support such a wide variety of hardware targets. This empowers our customers to secure the best performing, best price processor for their products. With the release of 10.1, we continue that tradition by adding support of some industry's most popular targets - from big silicon names like Renesas, Freescale, and Fujitsu," said Tom Walton, Altia's Chief Software Scientist. "Design 10.0 was jam-packed with new features to make your Altia designs even better. Now, with Release 10.1, our customers have the power to take those new and improved designs into production on even more targets."
Altia's toolkit allows users to build user interface models from scratch or import artists' assets from industry-standard design programs like Adobe® Photoshop® and Microsoft® Visio® to create a completely custom graphical user interface. These user interface models can be connected to a variety of simulation tools or C code to create a complex, user-driven model. This model can be used for management reviews and user testing, thus eliminating the need for costly hardware mockups. Once validated and approved, Altia customers generate graphics code for their Altia model using Altia DeepScreen. The graphics code generated by DeepScreen can be deployed directly to production hardware.
With Altia Design 10.1, Altia adds several new hardware targets to their already impressive list of supported platforms. Altia customers can now generate C code for Renesas targets including Dx4-H Custom 2D, the DR4-3D for OpenGL ES 1.1 and the SH7266 Software Render. Several popular Freescale platforms are also now supported, like the i.MX53 (using either OpenGL ES 1.1 and 2.0) and i.MX51 (OpenGL ES 1.1 and OpenVG 1.1). Release 10.1 will also feature full code generation support for Fujitsu's Sapphire Custom 2D target (MB91590 series). The release includes faster text rendering, improved i.MX51 SDK, and improved alpha channel support for the Altera D/AVE platform.
