Alstom T&D India to equip Maharashtra transmission network with high voltage products and solutions
Alstom T&D India has secured orders of around €32 million (INR 2462 million) from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) to build 400/220 kV grid substations at Kudus, Alkud, and Kondhwain Maharashtra.
- (1888PressRelease) December 13, 2014 - The substations will strengthen the 220 kV transmission network as part of Maharashtra's 12th Five Year plan to strengthen the transmission system and enhance the capacity of power evacuation systems.
Alstom T&D India will construct on a turnkey basis, 400/220kV air-insulated substations at Kudus and Alkud including power transformers, substation automation system and other auxiliary equipment. For Kondhwa, Alstom will build, also on a turnkey basis, a 220/22 kV gas-insulated substation with other equipment. All equipment will be supplied from Alstom T&D India's manufacturing facilities across the country.

Alstom has been associated with MSETCL on a number of projects includingthe first of its kind EPC contract by any state utility in India to build twenty-six220/132 kV substations across the state. Alstomis also building thefirst 765 kV air-insulatedsubstationat Aurangabad, first 400 kV gas-insulatedsubstation atHinjewadi, and executing a pilot project for MSETCL in Mumbai inremote operation and situational awareness.
