According to AFSP's data on suicide taken from Centre of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 41,149 cases of suicide were reported for the year 2013. The "Walk to Fight Suicide: Out of the Darkness Community Walk" aims at raising awareness and extends support for suicide prevention research.
The community campaign emphasizes on the fact that just one person or one conversation can open the doors of optimism for those suffering from mental health problems.
