Alpacifica Continues Social Outreach Through Alpacks(R) Dog Sweaters

In addition to donating sweaters to Seattle-based Ginger's Pet Rescue (http://www.gingerspetrescue.org/), AlpacksŪ made a "Friends" level donation to the Seattle Weekly PAWS Walk at Magnuson Park in Seattle (http://www.pawswalk.net). The company has also pledged a large sweater donation to the Arequipa Dog Shelter, a charitable organization for canines in southern Peru.
"We are excited to see how our efforts are making a difference in Peru and the United States. Our company was founded on socially conscious principles and we feel it is our duty to support organizations with similar goals. Handmade in Peru, AlpacksŪ dog sweaters are currently sold at the All the Best stores in the Seattle and in other high-end stores across the country. They are made from alpaca and baby alpaca fiber, which is renowned for its softness, durability, and water-wicking ability.
The dog sweaters will be for sale at the Seattle Weekly sponsored PAWS Walk this coming Saturday at Magnuson Park. The walk starts at 10:00 a.m. and will support organization, whose mission is to rehabilitate "injured and orphaned wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless cats and dogs, and educating people to make a better world for animals and people".
