The PE license is the engineering profession's highest standard of competence, recognizing achievement and serving as an assurance of quality.

    Allyson is a civil engineer with seven years of experience. She works on the land development team at Clark Nexsen, providing site development design in its entirety and specializing in stormwater management design for university, commercial, city, and federal developments. Allyson has also conducted geographic information system (GIS) fieldwork on many U.S. military bases.

    She served as a civil engineer on the Science and Engineering/Information Commons Building at Germanna Community College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, a LEED Silver certified project that received a 2012 AIA DC Chapter Presidential Citation for Sustainable Design. Her extensive project portfolio also includes the Chesapeake Public Safety Operations Building and the Hampton Roads Executive Airport Runway Expansion, both in Chesapeake, Virginia.

    Allyson attended Old Dominion University where she was an active member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). In 2007, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from ODU, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Engineering Management. Upon graduation, Allyson was awarded the Faculty Award in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

    She met the eligibility requirements needed to take the Principles and Practice Engineering exam by graduating from an accredited four year engineering program, and having four years of professional experience under a licensed professional engineer.
