Allscripts Continues Expansion in India with New Product Development Center
New facility in Baroda consolidates product development team to drive innovation, enhancements to Allscripts leading healthcare solutions.
- (1888PressRelease) December 06, 2013 - BARODA, INDIA - Allscripts India, a subsidiary of United States-based healthcare information technology (IT) provider Allscripts, has opened a new and expanded office in Baroda as part of the company's commitment to invest in research, development, innovation and global growth.
The new office, consisting of two floors located at the center of Baroda city, will initially house more than 275 existing Allscripts team members. With approximately 30,000 square feet in available space, the office will have the capacity to expand and accommodate up to 400 employees.
"We are delighted to announce a larger development center in Baroda," said Deborah Snow, Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications for Allscripts. "The new location and our talented Baroda team members will help us deliver Open and integrated solutions to drive Allscripts global growth, including continued growth in India," she added.
Allscripts India team-member base has grown to more than 2,000 in 2013 from 850 in 2010. The Baroda office reflects the company's commitment to collaboration and team-member engagement.
Ms. Snow opened and inaugurated the new office with Nitin Deshpande, President of Allscripts India Operations.
"This expansion enables all product development team members in Baroda to work in a highly collaborative environment," said Mr. Deshpande. "It is an important step forward to drive development and enhance our programming efforts."
