Allison Transmission equips over 600 Tata Marcopolo Low Floor CNG powered buses for Commonwealth Games 2010
Dedicated Allison engineering support team ensured smooth operation of the fleet during the games.

Allison Transmission has worked with Tata Motors, the leading auto company and the official transport partner for CWG, to deliver buses which provided flawless transportation to officials, athletes, press, and spectators in Delhi. To support this massive public transportation program, a dedicated Allison Transmission engineering support team along with the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) managed the fleet, ensuring an excellent transport experience. Allison established a product support command center in Delhi staffed with Allison's technical experts, service engineers and highly-trained service technicians from Allison dealer M/S Prem Nath Diesel Pvt Ltd, Delhi.

The DTC had recently added over 2600 Allison-equipped Tata Marcopolo Low-floor CNG powered buses and about 700 Ashok Leyland Low-Floor CNG buses to its fleet. These buses fitted with automatic transmissions have been providing seamless transportation solutions to Delhi citizens. This recent solution to the transportation challenges in Delhi has been swiftly implemented to provide Indian guests and international travelers a positive experience during CWG.
Several cities and airport authorities across the country are modernizing their fleets of buses.
