Allion DisplayPort Alt Mode Certification Delivers Brilliant 4K Viewing
In 2014, Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) announced the publication of the DisplayPort Alternate Mode for USB Type-C Standard.
- (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2016 - USB Type-C™ supports SuperSpeed USB data transmission rates (5-10 Gbps) and increased power delivery options, but this new, slim, reversible USB interface can also support Ultra-High Definition (UHD) 4K video via DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode).
With this announcement, DisplayPort was recognized as one of the first video protocols to support USB Type-C™ Alternate Mode.
Allion can help vendors verify Ultra-High Definition (UHD) 4K video and audio transmission over USB Type-C. Products that pass DP Alt Mode certification are guaranteed to support the highest levels of functionality and interoperability. Allion has many satisfied customers who have passed this certification. For instance, we assisted ASUSTeK Computer Inc. with DP Alt Mode certification for their MB169C+ portable USB monitor. (See this press release for product details: http://www.asus.com/us/News/jK1dFedJYyRo4b0u.)
As the first VESA accredited test lab in Taiwan, Allion can help your company perform DP Alt Mode certification testing. This will ensure that your USB Type-C compatible product is also compatible with the VESA DisplayPort standard.
