Allied Schools Approved To Offer Back Office Medical Assisting Program
Allied Schools now offers front and back office medical assistant training conveniently online.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) March 29, 2011 - Allied Schools is now approved for both the front office and back office programs of Medical Assisting, enabling the school to offer 720 hours of in-depth education. As with all Allied Schools programs, the back office Medical Assisting program offers an affordable tuition. To further assist students, Allied also makes a variety of no-interest payment plans available.
Medical assistant education encompasses two aspects - medical administrative assisting (front office), and clinical medical assisting (back office). Students who complete both programs of medical assisting education from Allied are qualified to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) examination, offered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
The back office medical assistant program prepares students to perform duties that include recording vital signs, preparing a patient for an exam, giving medication, taking out sutures and making sure health histories are up-to-date, as well as performing phlebotomy (blood draws), taking
X-rays and authorizing refills of prescription medication. Students also prepare to earn certifications in CPR, First Aid and AED offered by the American Heart Association.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor and Statistics, medical assisting is among the fastest growing occupations over the 2008-2018 decade. In 2008, the highest 10 percent of medical assistants earned more than $39,570.
