AllHipHop.com & Hometeam Entertainment, LLC Partner to Promote Comedic Web Series for Young Audience
Top Hip-Hop Portal Teams with Innovative Industry Influencers Christopher "Play" Martin, Vanessa Baden & James Bland to Release Second Season of College-Themed Show "FAIL".
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) May 25, 2012 - The world's leading urban music website, AllHipHop.com and budding production company Hometeam Entertainment, LLC have teamed to release the second season of web-based comedy, FAIL. Unprecedented in nature, the premier partnership embraces conscious industry collaboration and the growing merger between hip-hop and the digital space. Rallying the collective talents of BET's Lens On Talent finalist James Bland, seasoned film/industry vet and former Nickelodeon star Vanessa Baden as well as on-screen legend Christopher "Play" Martin of rap and acting duo Kid 'n Play as executive producers; the first and second episodes of the series will be released at 4 PM EST on May 31, 2012 and June 14, 2012 respectively on the AllHipHop.com homepage.
Filling the void for a web-based scripted show geared towards the middle, high school and early college demographic; FAIL is a comedy about a group of co-eds who are on the verge of academic probation as a result of the random misadventures they embark on after class. The series focuses on six students who in an attempt to improve their grades form a study group and end up spending more time in each other's social circles than in their books, proving that college is about finding yourself and your friends for life.
The first season of FAIL debuted in July of 2011 and garnered a faithful following, widespread acclaim and rave reviews. The joint venture with AllHipHop.com however presents FAIL with the unique opportunity to showcase their content on a global platform, to reach a diverse new array of socially savvy viewers and most importantly, to inspire their fan base to stay in school and pursue higher education.
" We at AllHipHop are pleased to present "The Fail Show" to our audience. Hip-Hop, as a culture, is ever expanding and limitless. This is another facet to that culture on another platform" says Chuck "Jigsaw" Creekmur co-founder of AllHipHop.com
Reaching millions of unique users monthly, AllHipHop.com was founded by "Grouchy" Greg Watkins and Chuck "Jigsaw" Creekmur in 1998 and has since risen to be one of the most valuable resources for hip-hop on the internet. Featuring daily news, interviews, reviews, multimedia and a rapidly growing online community the site is the ideal destination for the hottest urban content and latest in hip-hop happenings. Outside of the release of the FAIL Show itself, AllHipHop will also be releasing the FAIL mixtape Vol 1 including such world renowned artists as Diggy Simmons, Jacob Latimore, T-Pain and more.
"I'm very excited to be a part of something so new and I truly thank AllHipHop.com for the opportunity to do something so ground breaking in the digital age of Hip-Hop entertainment." says Christopher "Play" Martin. He adds, "…But I'm more humbled to be in a position in life to support and present the talents involved with this series the way others before me believed in Kid, Play, Martin, Tisha, AJ and Full Force…"
