The event took place in Junior Secondary School Kabusa on June 20th, 2023, in collaboration with Hope Spring Water, SuS Pads, and Center for Adolescent and Social Development. The workshop included both boys and girls.
- (1888PressRelease) June 21, 2023 - Hope Spring announces a successful menstrual hygiene and reusable pad training programme that took place in Junior Secondary School Kabusa on the 20th of June, 2023. The event was organised by Hope Spring Water, SuS Pads, and the Centre for Adolescent and Social Development. The aim of the workshop was to empower and educate young girls on menstruation, menstrual hygiene management, and reusable pad making.
At the event, the girls were provided with the necessary tools and equipment and taught the step-by-step method of making a reusable pad. Dr. Fatimah Odusote, a renowned medical practitioner, also taught the girls about menstruation and the menstrual cycle, while Bolu Olorunfemi, the team lead for menstrual hygiene day, educated the girls on menstrual hygiene management and how to stay healthy during menstruation.
The beauty of the programme lies in its inclusivity, as boys were also included in the training, emphasising the importance of menstrual hygiene in creating a healthy and safe society for all.
