Allen Yates and the Whitefire Theatre have "Love & Violence Too" on the Brain
Opening on Sunday, September 12, 2010 and continuing for 6 consecutive Sunday matinees until October 17, 2010, Allen Yates will star in the ensemble cast of the comedy play LOVE, SEX & VIOLENCE, TOO (or FALSE ADVERTISING).
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) September 12, 2010 - Allen Yates portrays the role of Edward, a shy man who is desperate to break a year of involuntary celibacy in first of three plays under the common title COUPLES. The second three interconnected plays are called ON THE COUCH.
Allen Yates has always been drawn to comedic roles (or they to him). From sketch comedy to dark humor Allen brings depth and commitment to each character. He has been performing for the screen and around Los Angeles for almost six years. His favorite film credit is the lead role of "Lance" in the Anchor Bay Entertainment horror/comedy, THE COOK where Allen plays a geeky college tutor. Allen has also performed at I.O. West with a live sketch troop called TO LINDSAY LOHAN WITH LOVE and recently booked the lead role in a feature length comedy called, DEAD THURSDAY.
Along with Allen Yates, other cast members include Olivia Peritori, Lisa Beth Harris, Joshua Grenrock, Adrian Lee Borden, Desi Jevon, Lacey Rae, Robbin Ormond, Eddy Hawks, Ward Edmondson.
Following the success of last year's production of LOVE SEX VIOLENCE ETC, Pavel Cerny's Orpheum Theater Corporation premieres another collection of short plays written by the brilliant Czech-American playwright Helena Weltman. Produced and Directed by Pavel Cerny, he has also directed three very successful productions at the Whitefire Theate including Helena Weltman's LOVE SEX VIOLENCE ETC, and two plays that he wrote himself, the Vietnam era psychodrama A LOVELY PLACE FOR A PICNIC and CIRCUS WELT, that became both a critical and audience hit.
