  • (1888PressRelease) January 30, 2012 - 'If I can't speak my mind, then why speak? I'm an MC so telling it like it is, IS my job'.

Bee Lee the MC is not too shy about his opinions. What's even greater is he turns them into rhymes - rap poetry that makes him a cut above the rest. And he's done what had to do to be done to become the MC that he is now - a hip-hop recording artist, music producer, graphic designer, founder of P.L.U.T.OWorld Music Group, and executive producer of 100 G'z Production.

At 16, Brian Lee was under the tutelage of his uncle when he got involved with Lil Alias Records. This is where he recorded his demo and even opened for a young Trey Songz at the 2005 D2D Hip Hop Summit in Washington, D.C. There, he met Cornelius Gault of Nuttin but the Troof Entertainment and the rest is, as they say, history.

Brian Lee became Bee Lee the MC and he was buzzing with activity. He was then approached by the now-defunct label, The Diamond District Cartel, with a distribution deal with Sony Records. Bee Lee the MC did open mics and showcases and after being with a label, he freed himself and turned solo, focusing on his recording outfit, P.L.U.T.OWorld Music Group. He worked with Brooklyn-based label New Industry Records with a new mentor, Wooden Souljah. Bee Lee the MC released his first ever mixtape under his then-pseudonym Tha 1ne, District 1ne with Day 1 Productions.

Next up for Bee Lee the MC was a full-fledged album, 'The Bulletproof Boomboxxx'. Not stopping there, he followed it up with another: 'The Inauguration', a deeply personal album as he tried to heal from his issues. Bee Lee the MC is as prolific as ever, having released mixtapes ('Bee Season') and albums ('The Anarchy Organization', 'Memoirs of a Drug Addict') in a professional capacity. Currently, he has a new EP album titled 'Exploading Head Zone' and it promises to be spectacular.

Considered to be eccentric yet intellectual, Bee Lee the MC makes use of clever punch lines with a hip-hop bite. He has an unorthodox style that alternates between a slow rhythmic drawl to an articulate triple-time speed flow. Bee Lee the MC has collaborated and performed with the best: Tabi Bonney, John Storm, St. Laz, Wooden Souljah, Charms City, Whitefolkz, D.C. Don Juan, Disturbing the Peace, Critical Condition Band, and Ryan Leslie - and that's just naming a few of them.

Bee Lee the MC may have opinions - he is called the 'Mayor', after all - but they all matter. You should get to know him more. Download his 'Exploading Head Zone' EP album or track 'Friends With Benefits' from iTunes, distributed by JMD Records and INgrooves, a partner of Universal Music Group.
