  • (1888PressRelease) August 24, 2024 - In a live broadcast on his YouTube channel, Alireza Jadidi presented the audience with a clear expression of rap. Alireza then talked about rap and hip-hop styles in different cultures as follows.

The words hip hop and rap are often used interchangeably. Currently, the use of each of these words is more linguistic than musical style and culture. These two words have become almost synonymous due to the advancement of the music industry. However, music traders claim that the two concepts will never be the same.

    hip hop:

If we do a little research, we will find out that the works of hip-hop have their roots in the distant past in the New York Bronx, where most of its residents were African-American and Hispanic.

In the 1970s, this style of music was created by the block parties dominated by Harlem. And that's why hip-hop is known as the main pillar that paved the way for free speech.

    Rap:

Rap is often referred to as a form of free music that evolved with the rise of hip-hop culture. It can be considered a combination of prose and poetry in one song.

What is the difference between hip hop and rap?

If we look at hip-hop, we get a mix of beats that shows flexibility. On the other hand, rap is unfortunately a way to express offensive ideas or thoughts.

However, rap is not necessarily insulting and may be used to express personal weakness and discomfort. Rap can also be combined with other genres of music such as rock, reggae or blues.

Both genres share the same musical beats, which is why one is often confused with the other. Despite these similarities, the rich history of each should be seen as a cultural candidate that resonates through heartbreaking hardships with a strong and entertaining personality.

    So, to summarize:

    - Hip-hop is known as the main pillar that paved the way for freedom of expression.

    - Rap is often referred to as one of the free forms of music that evolved with the rise of hip-hop culture.

    - Rap can be considered a combination of prose and poetry in one song.

Unfortunately, rap is a way of expressing thoughts that are offensive. But in my opinion, there should be no place for insults in music because music is an art and art should be without insults and obscenities. Rap should be a genre without profanity and completely standard.

    Rap review in Farsi language:

Persian rap is a type of unauthorized rap that is sung in Persian dialect. Recently, the content of Persian rap has become so clichéd, repetitive and full of insults that it is difficult to distinguish good rap from bad, irregular arrangements, irregular rhymes and very poor singing style make it impossible to understand rap as it should be.

And finally, I must say that Persian rap should be strictly avoided, and positive and permissible words and views should be replaced by obscenities and negative sentences, because the audience of this genre of music is for teenagers, so it should be informative.
