The photos were so spectacular that they were selected as finalist submissions in the travel magazine Conde Nast's 2008 Dream Trip Traveler Contest. Applicants submitted photographs to a contest, along with a description of what they would describe as their dream vacation. The grand prize winner received an all expense paid trip to the "dream destinations" set forth in their contest application.

Her balloonist had a rather rough encounter with the fields of a local farmer - but all survived to tell the tale, and were able to share some incredible photos as well.
