Album release: Wellfear - Legacy of the fallen
Norwegian up-and-coming melodic metal band Wellfear releases much-awaited debut album 'Legacy of the Fallen' along with monthly music videos.
- (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2011 - OSLO, NORWAY - Norwegian melodic metal five-piece Wellfear has just released their debut album, 'Legacy of the Fallen'. Mixed and mastered at the reputable Fascination Street Studios (Opeth, Symphony X, Soilwork), the album is available internationally at www.wellfearshop.com, iTunes, amazon mp3, Spotify, last.fm and other digital distributors.
'Legacy of the Fallen' features eleven songs, mixing elements from old-school 80's thrash metal with a fresh, melodic-yet-aggressive sound and topping the whole thing off with some of the catchiest vocal lines in modern metal. Nods to metal icons Metallica, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest are scattered throughout the album, as well as influences from more recent metal monsters including Slipknot, Bullet for my Valentine and In Flames. Adding a more melodic perspective with plentiful guitar and vocal harmonies while holding on to the brutal aggression that Norwegian metal is known for, 'Legacy of the Fallen' is a breath of fresh air in the Norwegian metal scene.
Wellfear's Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/wellfeartv) has already seen the release of music videos for tracks Dealer's Call and Reconsider, the first of which will be receiving national airplay on Norway's largest broadcasting network NRK. The band will release a new music video monthly until May 2012, making a total of nine music videos out of the album's eleven tracks.
