Album Pre-Release Party and Concert featuring VI-Reggae Artist Bless Noble and the RootsSetters Band
Philadelphia's Legendary Clef Club, known for advancing the arts, particularly jazz music, announces an album pre-release concert featuring Reggae Roots singer, song writer and artist Bless Noble and the RootsSetters Band.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2010 - The concert will take place on Friday, December 3, 2010. Accompanying the aspiring artist will be special guest, The Legendary Richard "Jah Ace" from the Sons of Ace and Studio One. The event will be hosted by Andre Porter.
The 10 song debut album, titled, "We're Not Alone", was recorded at the Tuff Lion's Outpost studio in Virginia. Tuff Lion, another son of the (Virgin Island) VI-Reggae genre and a legend in his own right not only served as album producer but contributed all the instrumentation on the album with the exception of the bass on the cut "Find a Way"; he also laid down harmonic vocals throughout. The album is characteristic of the roots flavor and conscious driven lyrics that VI-Reggae is known for. This is evidenced in the first single Meditation Rule, where we are encouraged to meditate on the almighty to reach the true meaning of higher consciousness which is love. "In the current global village atmosphere of increased interconnections and increased perils, only meditation (maat, or balance) can serve as the foundation for what can be called true self-sustainability. If we meditate on the Most High, we will meet our destiny, which is undoubtedly a heart edifying love. And in this eternal effort, we are truly Not Alone", says Noble.
The album release party and concert will start at 10:00 pm on Friday, December 3, 2010 (doors open at 8:00pm). Tickets include admission and a buffet. A cash bar is available. The Clef Club is located at 736 South Broad Street in South Philly. Tickets can be purchased at the Clef Club, for more call 215.893.9912 or visit www.clefclub.org .
