Al Hamra Mall Set To Expand - VOX Cinema And Fun Ville To Open In 2013

(1888PressRelease) April 30, 2013 - Al Hamra Mall, part of the Al Hamra Village Community is set to expand and add exciting entertainment features for residents and visitors alike. The mall is set to open the first VOX Cinema this year, along with several new retail outlets such as Parfois and Vincci already having opened at the mall. Another exciting addition will be the Fun Ville kid's entertainment area.

The extension of the Al Hamra Mall will add a leasable area of 70,115 sqft to the existing 197,077 sqft, which is an increase of 35%. The additional retail space on the Ground Floor will provide for the introduction of several medium size (4,000sqft - 7,000sqft) units for international fashion stores and casual dining. Visitors to the mall can enjoy a variety of outlets including designer clothing, electronic appliances, furniture and daily groceries which ensure that tourist or local residents will surely find all their requirements met at Al Hamra Mall.

Recently, the Al Hamra Mall also had the privilege of hosting the Young Entrepreneur Competition (YEC) 2013, held for the first time in RAK. YEC 2013 was organised by Dubai SME, the agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai mandated to develop the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector. The event was held at the Al Hamra Mall in RAK from 10th - 13th April with students from Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah showcasing their entrepreneurial projects in designated kiosks across the mall.

Dubai SME organises YEC with the objective of inculcating entrepreneurial spirit among students in public and private secondary schools and universities across the UAE. The annual event, currently in its ninth cycle, was held in Ras Al Khaimah for the first time.
