Barnes, 26, has been with the Astros for eight years, and was called up from Class AAA Oklahoma City. Barnes was batting .321, with .381 on-base percentage and a .514 slugging percentage, between Oklahoma City and Class AA Corpus Christi. In his eighth year, Barnes was free to sign anywhere else, but chose to stay with the Astros. Barnes uses an AMR 34 in all black, with a mesh back and h-web, and is part of Akadema's endorsement team.
